WELCOME TO BREAKAWAY FROM CANCER!
We are a National 501(c)3 Nonprofit organization that aims to provide social, emotional and financial support to U.S. citizens in the equine community diagnosed with cancer.
Our Inspiration for establishing this nonprofit was a dear family member and close friend faced with the ultimate challenge of Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. At the young age of 32 with a husband and 3-year-old daughter, Emily Buchleitner was confronted with this dire diagnosis. Even after her life changing diagnosis, she has displayed an enormous will to defeat cancer while at the same time living her life as normal as possible for her daughter.

Established in 2022
Our officers and board are 100% volunteers; and having been in existence for less than two years, we are proud to have helped four families thus far, granting a total of $40,000.00.

Our Goal for 2024
Our goal for 2024 is to increase our available funds and open applications to those in need year-round, so that we may provide financial assistance to even more individuals/families in need.
